Charitable ContributionsThe 2d Reconnaissance Battalion Association, a fraternal and charitable organization of Recon Marines and Navy Corpsmen, is committed to excellence and a goal of 100% efficiency. This means 100% of your donation, when given by check, is deposited into our Charitable Fund. If you give here on our website, we receive 100% of your donation less a small transaction fee. Scholarships and awards are paid directly to recipients from our Charitable Fund. The Charitable Fund will always be maintained as a separate account from the operations account of the Association. Our efficiency mission is accomplished through the support of our membership. Our Association is staffed entirely by member volunteers, and our members pay nominal annual dues to sustain our operating costs. With this structure of transparency and accountability, our donors can be assured every dollar of their generosity is going where it is intended...directly to Marines, Sailors and their families. Recon strives to be the best of the best. As a compliant 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your donation may be 100% tax deductible and you will receive an acknowledgement letter for tax filing purposes.
